BENGALURU: Lucknow Supergiants’ player Athusham Khan has been accused of throwing away his helmet following winning once morest Royal Challengers Bangalore in a match that lasted till the last ball.
Josh Khan has committed a Level 1 offense under the IPL Code of Conduct. The BCCI said in a statement that the player has pleaded guilty and accepted the punishment. The player was given a warning by the match referee. After winning the last ball once morest RCB, Josh Khan celebrated by throwing his helmet onto the field.
Meanwhile, Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis has also been fined for a low over rate in the match. A fine of Rs 12 lakh has been imposed.
