Equal Festival: Lali and María Becerra

Women artists who support other women. The young figures of the music scene, in tune with the times, know that unity is strength and far from any competition, as could exist a few years ago, today they come together and strengthen each other. Thus Lali Espósito was one of the thousands of people who accompanied María Becerra at the River Stadium.

The artist was like another fan at the Monumental to celebrate the second date that the singer had, and which made her the first singer from Argentina to fill the stadium alone. It was through her Instagram account where Lali dedicated a video and words of love to her.

“The girl from Argentina,” she wrote, in a story while showing the mega show that the performer was giving, at the time she was singing Challenging Destiny, one of María’s hits. The visit took place after the singer publicly supported her after the strong controversy that broke out between Lali and President Javier Milei.

“At the moment I do not use my networks to give such a political message directly, but the truth is that I support and share what Lali does. I like her a lot, I know her a lot, she is a great person, I love how she thinks and how intelligent she is, how she speaks and the things she expresses. The truth that I share,” María said at the end of February in a conference she gave prior to her performance at the Viña del Mar Festival.

But it didn’t stop there. “However, I think everything that is happening seems like a lot to me. I feel that it is a management of social networks, of fake news. Nothing, very confusing and I feel that the people and the people are underestimated a lot, with fake news and a lot of things that are said, creating a whole political and controversial commotion that doesn’t work,” she added at that time.

“I feel that there has to be more seriousness in the position he is occupying. I say this with all due respect, he is obviously the president-elect and I address him with respect. But, it seems to me that there are a lot of more important things to do, right? More because of the situation that the country is experiencing, rather than fighting on social networks or liking 400 tweets in one day,” he launched.
