“ETB to cease internet and TV services in Cúcuta: reasons and future plans in Bogotá and Cundinamarca”

The Bogotá Telecommunications Company announced that it will no longer offer these services in that city and detailed the reasons for the decision.

The Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (ETB) will stop providing internet and television services in Cúcutacapital of North Santander.

The company argued the decision by indicating that it will seek to strengthen its presence and service in Bogotá and Cundinamarca.

In its report to the Financial Superintendence, ETB reported that the provision of these services in Cúcuta will go until July 15, 2024, just over a year. Meanwhile, users contracted for internet and television will be able to continue using them.

The company explained that, from now on, it will seek to focus “its mass service operation will focus strategically on the Households of Bogotá- Region”.
