The Gard prefecture has given its agreement for the race to take place, it will begin with the 2nd stage between Marguerittes and Rousson, Thursday February 1st.
The Étoile de Bessèges 2024 will take place. The organization confirmed this by email this Wednesday, January 31, at 5:31 p.m.
After the cancellation by the Gard prefecture of the first stage in Bellegarde, due to demonstrations by farmers which involved the mobilization of the police, it gave its agreement to the organization of the cycle race.
The event will therefore begin tomorrow, Thursday January 1, in Marguerittes for a fictitious departure towards Rousson (163 km). The stage will include two difficulties with the Col de la Barraque (13.3 km, 3.7%) and the Côte du Pradel (3.1 km, 6%).
