Germany has reached an agreement with the EU Commission in the dispute over the future of cars with internal combustion engines. This was announced by Germany’s Transport Minister Volker Wissing (FDP) and EU Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans on Saturday. Wissing announced that the agreement was reached late on Friday evening. The way has been cleared for vehicles with combustion engines that only use climate-neutral fuels to be re-registered following 2035.
