The 2022/23 Europa League season is a thing of the past. Once again it was Sevilla FC who were able to bring the title to Andalusia. The Spanish representative secured the second most important UEFA Cup competition for the seventh time. They beat AS Roma on penalties in a dramatic final and caused a storm of jubilation among the fans who had traveled to Budapest.

Due to the success, FC Sevilla will initially start in the Champions League in 2023/24, while city rivals Betis are already in the group stage of the Europa League. The same applies to SC Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen, who are also definitely among the 32 participants.

Europa League 2023/24 live: Which teams have already qualified?

Some of the 32 teams that will compete in the group stage have already been confirmed. These include SC Freiburg, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion, FC Villarreal, Betis Sevilla, Atalanta Bergamo, AS Roma, FC Toulouse, Stade Rennes and Sporting Lisbon.

In addition, the winner of the Europa Conference League also qualifies for the EL. West Ham United defeated AC Fiorentina in the final.

Furthermore, ten winners from the playoffs of the Europa League join the participants. There are also two losers of the placement path from the CL playoffs, four losers of the champions path from the CL playoffs and four losers of the placement path from the 3rd qualifying round of the CL playoffs.

Europa League 2023/24 live: When will all participants in the group phase be known?

The third qualifying round for the Europa League will take place on August 10th and 17th. Olympiacos Piraeus and Slavia Prague, among others, will join this round.

The playoffs will follow immediately on August 24th and 31st. There, for example, Ajax Amsterdam, Linzer ASK, FC Aberdeen, Union Saint-Gilloise, Sorja Luhansk, FK Cukaricki and FC Lugano enter the race for the EL tickets.
