One of the most important issues in the European Union at the moment is the question of how to deal with artificial intelligence in the world’s largest digital market in the future. The fact that some form of regulation is needed is relatively undisputed internationally. But which applications are permitted and which pose too high a risk to people, Europe wants to solve this question and best make its findings available to the entire world. But the noble goals are in jeopardy and there is a risk that the AI Act will fail. Only Europe cannot afford such a failure.
