Europe’s Euclid mission takes off to explore dark energy in the Universe

The two-tonne telescope, which is to be positioned 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, aims to better understand dark matter, which holds galaxies together, and dark energy, responsible for the expansion of the Universe. Together they constitute 95% of the Universe, but remain one of the greatest mysteries of cosmology. (Belga)
