For more than a decade, there has been a running joke about EVE Online that MMORPG users play tables. Well, it’s outdated now. CCP Games has announced that this year the game will integrate with Microsoft Excel.

To do this, the MMORPG developer enlisted the support of Microsoft. In the near future, EVE Online will have a JavaScript API that will allow you to output data from the game to an Excel spreadsheet. The function will have many applications: tracking the economy, the size of the fleet, analytics of military strength, and much more.
But this is not the only news from CCP Games. The developer said that in the next updates he will focus on the narrative. The game will have several storylines. According to the studio, the story will help new users of EVE Online connect with the world of “Eve” and provide an opportunity to form “the living universe of New Eden” through dynamic events controlled by players.
The developer will also implement a career program in EVE Online to help new players work through their next steps in their chosen job archetype. In addition, the graphics and interface will be improved, DirectX 12 support will be implemented and much more.
