Two people were injured following shootings that occurred Monday evening in the Brussels commune of Evere, said the spokesperson for the Brussels-North police zone (BruNo), confirming information from RTL Info and La Capitale.
“The police were called Monday evening, around 9:45 p.m., for a shooting incident in a cafe, located on avenue Henri Conscience, in Evere“, said the spokesperson. “Two people, including a passer-by in a car, were injured“, she added. The two victims were taken care of by the emergency services, and their lives are not in danger.
A suspect was arrested during the night by police officers from the BruNo police zone, the police zone informed. The Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed of this and then ordered the first investigative duties. “The investigation has begun and, in the interest of the investigation, there will be no further communication on this subject today“, concluded the police.
