The History of the European Games

The major event was introduced by the European Olympic Committee (EOC) to close a gap compared to other continents. These have known comparable competitions for a long time with the Pan American and Asia Games (since 1951), Pacific, Africa and since 1978 the South America Games. Like the Olympic Games, they all take place every four years. The last edition took place in Minsk in 2019.
