Like her, the 36-year-old is also a doctor – with a strong social streak.
Only at the end of 2021 did the former Miss Switzerland Laetitia Guarino and long-term friend Stefano Iodice (30) announce their love after ten years together – without naming a reason for separation. Now the heartache seems to have been forgotten: with a kissing picture on Instagram, the 29-year-old doctor made it public that there was a new man in her life. This is a professional colleague: Dr. medical Omar Haroon. The two attended a wedding together over the weekend and appear to have been thoroughly enjoying themselves.
The 36-year-old runs the renowned “Praxis am Zeltweg” for aesthetic surgery in the center of Zurich together with a colleague. He also has several clinics that specialize in hair transplants. But he also seems to have a deep and extremely strong social streak.
The turning point in his life
As the “Frankfurter Rundschau» writes that in August 2021 he noticed that work is not everything. The reason for the turning point was the takeover of his homeland by the extreme Islamist Taliban in Afghanistan. “It’s like a faint feeling that another generation is being robbed of their future and you’re sitting here and you can’t do anything,” he told the newspaper. When he finally saw that the situation was getting worse and worse, he started “donating like crazy everywhere”.
He quickly got Bettina Junker, CEO of Unicef Switzerland, on board. The two of them organized a benefit event and Haroon also offered hyaluron and botox injections at a reduced price and also donated the proceeds. The target amount of CHF 20,000 was quickly reached. He emphasized to the newspaper: “Injustice drives me crazy.”
The son of a refugee family finally expressed the wish “to have more time for his family and friends despite his many activities.” This now seems to have been fulfilled. How and when he and Laetitia met is not known. A request of 20 minutes has not yet been answered.
