After Samsung released the Galaxy S23 series, it caused heated discussions because of the device’s system space occupation of up to 60GB, and received widespread attention from consumers and the media. It was later confirmed that Samsung directly incorporated the 7% storage “loss” caused by the conversion of 1000/1024 storage specifications into the system in order to avoid the user’s confusion of purchasing a 512GB model and finding that the actual available storage space is only 476GB. The resulting situation is that the system space usage is too high. The specific storage usage is that in the OneUI 5.1 system version, the system usage of the 128GB model is about 18GB; the system usage of the 256GB model is about 32GB; and the system usage of the 512GB model is 58GB.
