This juicy orange fruit does more than just pack vitamin C into your diet.
Here are the most important uses of oranges in cleaning:
1- Eliminate the smell of garbage: Adding orange peels to the garbage can can help refresh it. All you have to do is put a few crusts together with some ice cubes. When the trash has been discarded through the husks and ice, rinse it with water, and you’re all set.
2- Deodorize the refrigerator: Put an orange peel filled with salt in your refrigerator to keep it smelling fresh. Cut the orange in half, extract the pulp, fill the peel with salt, then place it on the back of the rack.
3- Home air freshener: Add orange slices, vanilla beans and a few fresh mint leaves to a pot of water and bring to a boil. A nice creamy scent will fill your home in no time.
4- Clean up dirt: Squeeze orange peel over “sticky” stains from spills or label residue. The natural oils in the peel are a great cleanser, and the oils released from the peel help loosen dirt.
