On this Thursday afternoon, Governor Martín Llaryora met with Alexa, the teenager who became paraplegic as a consequence of the tragic crash carried out by the former provincial official, Oscar González, in Altas Cumbres in October 2022. In the road accident, teacher Alejandra Bengoa died and her daughter Marina and Alexa were injured.

The meeting took place in the president’s office, located in the Civic Center, and was repeatedly requested by the teenager’s parents, Nassia Gonzáles and Gustavo Álvarez, who also participated in the meeting. They They sought the commitment of the provincial government to continue assuming the costs of the treatment necessary to address Alexa’s permanent paraplegia.

After the meeting, the parents expressed their gratitude to the governor for receiving them, highlighting the “peace of mind” that the commitment made by Llaryora during the provincial campaign in 2023 provided them.

Gustavo, the young woman’s father, indicated that the governor, although he had reports provided by his ministers, was unaware of some details of the accident and needed to hear the family’s version.

“We thanked him for having received us after repeated requests. He and several of his ministers were committed, along with the director of the Victim Assistance Center,” said Gustavo, highlighting the importance of the face-to-face conversation.

Alexa’s father considered that this dialogue was a “more than necessary instance” for the president to understand “the magnitude of the damage that Oscar González did“.

For her part, Nassia, the mother of the 16-year-old girl, also expressed her gratitude to Martín Llaryora for the meeting and for his commitment. “I feel confident. An important conversation took place. There are issues that he was not aware of and this was necessary“, he claimed.
