Executive design of terminal 2 of the Silvio Pettirossi airport was delivered

Asunción, IP Agency.- The International Organization of Civil Aeronautics delivered the executive design of terminal 2, of the Silvio Pettirossi airport, work that is scheduled to begin this year and conclude in 2030.

The design rescues elements unique to Paraguayan culture, such as ñanduti and jeruti, as seen in a video released exclusively by Mega TV.

According to the project, the work has been conceived with respect to the traditions of Paraguayan architecture, with interconnected spaces around three main volumes that will guide passengers through the departure, arrival and transfer areas.

It will also offer panoramic views and green spaces that will surround the terminal.

«One of the distinctive elements of the design is the roof that allows the entry of natural light and supports a perforated ceiling system, which will recreate the traditional ñanduti weaving. The pattern will be repeated in various superimposed layers creating a unique visual effect and from the air the terminal cover will evoke the image of the jeruti with its wings open,” states the project description.
