Disappeared since July 4, the body of a sixty-something German expatriate in Thailand has just been found inside a freezer.
After a week of searches, the remains of the body of the German Hans Peter Mack, a real estate magnate, were discovered in garbage bags, inside a freezer of a rental house in Thailand.
His wife of 24 years and of Thai origin had informed the police of her disappearance, worried about not receiving a call from her husband who was at a business lunch.
A small detail reassured the young woman that something serious had happened : the latter received a message from her husband’s phone whereas in five years of relationship, he had never sent her one.
According to RMCCrimeshe had even offered a reward three million baht (78,000 euros) for any information leading to her husband.
“There was the intention to destroy the evidence”
The car of the 62 year old man, was found by investigators on Sunday, July 9, in an abandoned parking lot.
In an attempt to find his trace, the Mercedes-Benz E350 has been combed through. Traces of liquid, which could correspond to bleach, on seats, dashboard, steering wheel and gearboxhad been identified.
“There was an intention to destroy the evidence, but the case shows that the disappearance of Mr. Hans Peter Mack is suspicious”said the chief investigator of the Thai police.
Few days ago, two women were seen getting out of the car by a saleswoman, video surveillance were also consulted by the police.
Chopped up body parts
After some research, the investigators were interested in a house rented by a friend from German, in Pattaya. Arrived on the spot the agents discovered chopped up body parts placed in trash bags. A murder investigation has been opened.
For three months, a German man and woman associated with the victim lived in the house where the body was found, said a neighbor. The police interrogated them, but has not yet commented on this.
