Doha: A huge influx of visitors from neighboring countries to Qatar to celebrate Eid. Around 400,000 visitors crossed Qatar’s land border at Abu Samra during the short Eid holiday.

The Home Ministry said 376,500 visitors and 107,300 vehicles crossed the border. Although the holiday is over, the pre-registration service to avoid congestion at the border will continue on both the Metrash application for citizens and residents and the Haya platform for visitors.

The Ministry of Interior has launched a pre-registration service for Qatari nationals and residents to cross the Abu Zamrah border just before the Eid holiday. Through this, departure and arrival procedures can be completed quickly through the fast line reserved for pre-registered vehicles only. Along with that, other lanes will operate as normal.

From traditional entertainment hubs like Souq Waqif and Katara to new hot spots like Lucille Boulevard and Mina District, many visitors flocked to the Eid holiday.
