Expo eVTOL 2024 brings together industry and experts in the “flying car” sector for the first time
The Expo eVTOL 2024 event is organized by MundoGEO and will take place between May 21 and 23, 2024, in São Paulo, and will feature a business fair and a Forum to discuss market topics, regulation, technology, infrastructure, energy, among other related topics to Advanced Air Mobility
The era of the Jetsons has arrived. What seemed like another futuristic daydream, with point-to-point transportation using flying cars, is a proven reality. Today, these cars, which are actually innovative aircraft, receive a more technical name: eVTOL, an acronym in English for electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles.
To present this market to society and debate what is to come, MundoGEO, which was recently acquired by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), will hold the 1st edition of Expo eVTOL 2024, an event with a fair and forum dedicated to these innovative aircraft, between May 21 and 23, 2024 at Expo Center Norte – Pavilhão Amarelo, in São Paulo.
This market, even before taking off in earnest, is already billion-dollar. According to McKinsey & Company, the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry has already accumulated sales estimated at US$111 billion, representing more than 18,000 eVTOLs ordered worldwide. This number is higher than the current backlog of orders for commercial aircraft, which does not reach 17,000.
Brazil already plays a relevant role in this sector with the creation of Eve Air Mobility, a company belonging to Embraer and has the largest backlog of orders for these aircraft, with close to 3,000 ordered. In the country there are also already defined operators, such as Azul, Gol, Helisul, Avantto, and others, second only to the United States and China in the number of aircraft purchased.
Expo eVTOL 2024 will bring together industry exhibitors at the business fair and will have in-depth debates at the Forum for two days, with market experts from Brazil and around the world. The program includes topics such as regulation, air traffic control, technology, operations, vertiports, environment, human resources, among others.
Purpose of eVTOL Expo 2024
“The objective of Expo eVTOL is to promote business not only between eVTOL manufacturers, but also companies in this ecosystem, such as embedded technology developers, vertiport builders, energy solution providers and operators of this new mode of passenger and cargo transport. ”, explains MundoGEO CEO, Emerson Granemann.
The Forum will have simultaneous translation into Portuguese, English and Spanish. Along with Expo eVTOL, three other events with great synergy are taking place in the same location: MundoGEO Connect, on reality capture technologies; DroneShow Robotics, about drones; and the SpaceBR Show, about the space market.
