Mercedes F1 Lewis Hamilton described 2021 title rival Max Verstappen as a “hellish” “bullying” on the track.
Last year, the protagonists of the two title battles made several contacts on the course. Especially at the F1 British Grand Prix, it collided at high speed at the Cops corner of Silverstone on the first lap, crashed into the barrier by Max Verstappen and was shocked by 51G, which became one of the biggest topics of the season.
Lewis Hamilton was given a 10-second penalty for the incident’s liability, but he easily recovered and won in front of the home spectators. Lewis Hamilton talked about Max Verstappen’s driving in an interview with Drive to Survive, saying he was trying to defeat the “bullying” he was in close contact with.
“I think Max is as aggressive as hell, and in many cases he’s pushing it beyond the limits,” said Lewis Hamilton.
“I’ve been competing with a lot of drivers. There are always bullies, but that’s not my way. I’m trying to beat them on the track.”
The controversy over Max Verstappen’s victory and world championship in the final round of the F1 Abu Dhabi GP cast doubt on Lewis Hamilton’s future in F1.
Lewis Hamilton spent about eight weeks avoiding interviews and staying out of the public eye without posting on social media.
Lewis Hamilton, who had spilled on the radio after the race that Max Verstappen had been “manipulated” to win, insisted that retiring at this stage was not an option for him.
