Users can still receive Messenger notifications on their Apple Watch when paired, but as of late May they will no longer be able to reply from their watches. But they can still use Messenger on iPhone, desktop and web.
It’s not clear why Facebook made this decision, but it increasingly shows a certain lack of interest from companies in keeping their apps on Apple’s watch platform.
In the case of Meta, it even chose WearOS instead of watchOS to launch (still in trial version) the first application of WhatsApp para smartwatch.
