ALGIERS- Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid chaired, Tuesday in Algiers, the ceremony of distinction of retired civil servants and deserving civil servants, in tribute to their contribution and dedication to the service of ministerial departments and the sector, throughout their career, indicates a press release from the ministry.
“In parallel with the 69th anniversary of the Glorious November 1 Revolution, the Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid chaired, Tuesday October 31, 2023, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, a ceremony of distinction organized in honor of retired civil servants and most deserving civil servants, in tribute to their contribution and dedication, in the service of ministerial departments and the sector, throughout their career, in the presence of directors general, executives and civil servants of the Central Administration”, reads -on in the press release.
In a speech delivered on this occasion, Mr. Faid noted “the importance of commemorating the anniversary of the outbreak of the National Liberation War for all Algerians and of what it carries as deep meanings which concretize the source of pride in our previous achievements.
In this context, Mr. Faid praised the contribution of “the symbols of the Glorious War of National Liberation in immense sacrifices which allowed the Algerian people to restore freedom and independence.”
He also highlighted, in his speech, the “direct link of the finance sector with the realization of the autonomy of justice in the aftermath of independence, materialized by the achievement of the objectives set by the ministry with a view to to adapt to current financial and economic developments, in a resolute and professional manner.
On this occasion, and as part of the capacity building program under the Ministry of Finance, launched in December 2022, which reflects the ministry’s concern to promote the distinguished sense of leadership and the spirit of innovation on the one hand, and to instill the values of integrity and commitment to public service in all its employees, certificates were awarded to distinguished employees.
This program made it possible “to communicate with all employees of our internal and external services and to constantly ensure that they are accompanied, encouraged and supported, particularly those who have contributed by implementing their knowledge, their experience and their skills to overcome the difficulties imposed by financial and economic challenges in a world dominated by digitalization and modern technology” adds the press release.
In this regard, the minister underlined “the need to continue to implement all the reforms initiated by the country’s high authorities, in execution of the program of the President of the Republic and to boost economic growth within the framework of sustainable development “.
The minister finally urged the employees of the sector to strive with the greatest seriousness to devote the principle of transparency and integrity to the tasks entrusted to them in all sincerity and honesty, in realization of the message of the chouhada and the aspirations of this and future generations to achieve the ultimate goal of advancing the national economy,” the statement concluded.
