After a long wait, we finally have the Zenfone 10 debuting on the Brazilian market. Asus’s new compact top of the line brought few visual changes, but comes with updated hardware to compete with the best launches of 2023. Did we have many new features?
As said, on the outside, little has changed. Asus just made the design a little cleaner without that bunch of text next to the cameras. The measurements were maintained, although the new one was a little thicker due to the addition of wireless charging. In terms of embedded technologies, seventh generation Wi-Fi is now supported.
The screen has had a slight increase thanks to the small reduction in the bottom edge. We have a 5.92-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, which guarantees greater fluidity and lower latency in games compared to its predecessor with a 120 Hz screen. The brightness level is the same as before and despite not being Among the best in its category, it still manages to deliver good visibility on sunny days.
Asus continues its partnership with specialist Dirac to optimize the speakers and the result is powerful sound with an excellent balance between bass, midrange and treble.
The Zenfone 10 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and up to 16 GB of RAM. In our speed test focused on multitasking we saw the new one hold all apps open and be faster than its predecessor. The most impressive part is the battery, which despite being the same size as before, lasts much longer. The 30W charger that comes with the cell phone takes 1 and a half hours to fully fill the battery.
The main camera is the same 50 MP as before, while the ultra-wide has moved to a 13 MP sensor that has lost autofocus. The front went up to 32 MP and also lost some technologies, not to mention that it no longer shoots in 4K. Overall, Asus’ new top of the line takes good photos and videos, but it’s not a standout in the segment.
