Products labeled fair trade by the Fairtrade Marx Havelaar foundation generated revenues of 924.6 million francs last year, with an increase of 7.5%. The certifier of good practices calculates on this basis in its annual report that the expenditure per inhabitant in Switzerland was established at 107 francs.
Two products in particular contributed to this development. The chocolate took on a good fifth of plumpness. Recently added to the product mix, gold benefited from a significant increase in the participation of the Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB).
