A serious traffic accident occurred on the west autobahn near St. Pölten in Lower Austria in the morning hours.
According to Philipp Gutlederer, the spokesman for Notruf Niederösterreich, three people succumbed to their serious injuries at the scene of the accident. One person suffered minor injuries.
The accident happened around 6:40 a.m. It was still dark, the driving conditions were wintry following a snowfall. The young men were traveling with three friends on the west autobahn in the direction of Salzburg when they had an accident at the St. Pölten Süd exit.
