No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The forty-year-old did not show up for work this Monday morning, which led to a police search. The victim was finally found around 8:30 a.m. in a stream on the Mosselstraat in Gistel. She was taken to hospital in critical condition, where she died from her injuries.
According to the Bruges public prosecutor’s office, the victim rolled his bike into the stream. We do not yet know the exact circumstances of this accident. No other vehicle or person was involved in the events, added the prosecution.
