A 24-year-old woman was the victim of a fatal collision while riding a scooter on Saturday around 2:30 a.m. in Ixelles. The motorist, a 35-year-old man apparently under the influence of alcohol, was arrested, indicated Sunday the Brussels prosecutor’s office.
The person responsible for the accident tried to flee, but was caught by the police. He was charged by an investigating judge with homicide.
