The worst happened shortly after midday when a motorcycle collided with a heavy goods vehicle, between the African Reserve roundabout and the LAC hamlet. Despite the rapid intervention of emergency services, the driver of the two-wheeler, a man aged around thirty, in cardio-respiratory arrest, could not be resuscitated. The second occupant of the motorcycle, a young boy around ten years old, slightly injured in one foot, was taken to the Narbonne hospital center.
