The victim was fatally injured in a stabbing Friday morning. She was taken to hospital where she died of her injuries. Local police in the Maasland area apprehended and questioned the suspect.
“The autopsy revealed that the deceased died of extreme violence. The arrested individual is suspected of murder. The motive is not yet clear. It is also not clear what exactly happened,” Pieter Strauven, press magistrate of the Limburg public prosecutor’s office, said on Saturday.
