Three people died and two were seriously injured in a traffic accident which occurred around six o’clock on Sunday morning on the A8 (E429) in the direction of Brussels.
According to the first elements, the driver of a car driving towards Brussels would have lost control of his vehicle and hit the central berm and then a van which was traveling in the same direction. Two people in the car and the driver of the van were killed. Two other people were seriously injured and taken to Erasmus Hospital in Brussels. The prosecution and an expert descended on the scene of the accident, the precise circumstances of which remain to be determined.
The carriageway was closed at the Hoves exit and a diversion set up from exit 25 via the N285 and the N7.
