The driver of a van lost his life late Friday followingnoon following an accident with a truck in Angleur (Liège), say firefighters and the Liège public prosecutor’s office.
The accident occurred around 6:25 p.m. Friday on rue d’Ougrée in Angleur. For reasons that remain to be determined, a truck and a van collided. Both vehicles ended up on their sides.
The driver of the van died at the scene. The victim’s phone was seized to check if he was using it while driving. Samples will also be taken to determine if he had consumed alcohol or drugs.
Friday around 8:30 p.m., firefighters were waiting for a crane to lift the van and recover the driver’s body.
