A father from the state of Maryland in the United States was beaten to death in front of his son while protecting him from a fight started over $30, reports the New York Post.
Christopher Wright, 43, died of head trauma after three teenagers and two adults took it out on him.
According to the Daily Mail, the altercation started in a park near the family residence when her son, Trenton, was taunted by a boy claiming to have stolen $30 from his girlfriend.
The dispute would have carried to the family home. Christopher Wright would have presumably landed the first blow, after which the other five people would have unleashed on him, throwing him to the ground and pounding on him even when he was unconscious.

The injuries suffered by Christopher Wright suggest that he was also beaten with a blunt object, his fiancée said in an interview with the New York Post.
He eventually died after a brain hemorrhage that doctors were unable to prevent.
Few details are available regarding this investigation, says the New York Post. No suspects have been identified by the police, and it is unknown whether any arrests have been made.
