FC Bayern Munich: Thomas Müller extends contract until 2024 – Bundesliga

He stays! Thomas Müller (32) has extended his contract with FC Bayern, which expires in 2023, until 2024.

Müller and Munich belong together. The 2014 world champion has been playing for Bayern for 22 years and has gone through all youth teams. He was German champion eleven times, won the DFB Cup six times and won the Champions League title twice.

Müller on the Bayern homepage: “I am very happy to have extended my contract with FC Bayern Munich until 2024. The common path since I switched to the FCB youth team in 2000 has been a fantastic success story so far. I really enjoy holding up the red colors on and off the field every year. Even when the wind blows in your face. So keep tackling it together!”

Bayern boss Oliver Kahn (52) on extension: “Thomas Müller is a figure I can identify with, and he carries our club’s coat of arms in his heart. He’s someone who takes the lead and he’s an important character in the dressing room with his style.”

The Müller extension is the successful start of some contract poker that Bayern still has to tackle. As with Müller, the contracts of Manuel Neuer (36), Serge Gnabry (26) and Robert Lewandowski (33) will expire in 2023.
