Unbeaten seven times in the last nine games – that speaks for the team’s consistent performance. We do very well defensively, use the transition moments very well, then score one or two goals and make it difficult for the opponents to find scoring opportunities. We’re in a good mood at the moment and want to keep the momentum going after the international break,” said Gerald Scheiblehner.
Rapid with a new trainer
After recent unstable performances, Rapid Vienna used the international break to change coaches. Instead of Zoran Barišić, the German Robert Klauß will now take his place in the coaching bench of the Green-Whites. The 38-year-old was most recently a coach at 1. FC Nürnberg and signed a contract until the summer of 2026.
“When you play away against Rapid as Blue and White, you are always underdogs, no matter what happens there. We have recently shown that we have a good chance even against powerful opponents if we put in a good performance and we believe in that against Rapid away. We cannot influence what Rapid does then. There is a new trainer at work there and he will certainly have an idea or two, but we are still well prepared and will try everything again to create a little sensation there too,” says Gerald Scheiblehner.
