Federal coat of arms for special merits goes to Laakirchen

After a two-year application process, there is now reason to be happy at the Laakirchner company Fürtbauer Spengler und Dachdecker. The company was awarded the Federal Coat of Arms for special merits by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

“With these awards, we honor the outstanding achievements of Austrian companies today. The companies honored today stand for innovative strength and sustainable management. They are the prerequisite for being able to survive in international competition. I would like to congratulate all companies on this award,” said Minister of Labor and Economics Martin Kocher at the presentation on April 28, 2023 in the Ministry of Labor and Economics.

“We are one of the few companies in Upper Austria to receive the highest award from the Ministry of Economics. The Fürtbauer company can therefore officially bear the national coat of arms in the future and is a state-certified company. We are also pleased that we have been among the finalists of the Pegasus Business Prize 2023 since Saturday.”, says a first reaction from the Laakirchner company.

The award for special services to the Austrian economy is awarded every year on the basis of the trade regulations. The focus is on innovative strength and sustainable management. The award entitles the holder to use the federal coat of arms of the Republic of Austria in future business dealings as a “state-approved company”.

The federal coat of arms with the addition “State-approved training company” emphasizes the special achievements of apprenticeship training in Austria. Criteria include a high level of commitment to imparting skills, in particular special know-how or, for certain target groups, participation in professional and training committees. “The seal of quality is a sign for young people interested in an apprenticeship, their parents, but also for customers. The award underscores the importance of our specialist training, which is also internationally regarded as an example of best practice for the vocational training of young people and young adults,” said the Federal Minister.
