Federal Government announces more than 4,000 vacancies in public tenders for 21 agencies; see which ones

Esther Dweck, Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, announced this Friday (16) the holding new public tenders to fill 4,436 vacancies in the staff of federal agencies for 2023. The list of departments includes ministries, regulatory institutes and other autarchies.

In a press conference, the head of the public services portfolio stated that the annual budgetary impact of the tenders will be R$735 million. Vacancies to be filled should be published shortly in the Official Gazette of the Union. The expectation of the government is that those approved will be appointed later this year.

The criteria for the initiative to open new effective positions in federal agencies are varied. According to Dweck, the time elapsed since the last call for tenders, vacancies (proportion between vacancies and number of expenses approved for the body) and imminent retirements are some of the factors that will lead to the decision.

“These tenders are a way of strengthening the state machine for offering public services as determined by President Lula”, says the minister. The new opportunities are announced after the authorization of thousands of effective and temporary vacancies in the Federal Public Administration for 2023.

Among the bodies contemplated, there are a total of 300 staff at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), including 100 vacancies for health management analysts, 100 for public health researchers and 100 for public health technologists. There are also openings for technicians in educational matters at MEC and administrative analysts at Inmetro.
