According to the minister, it is necessary to “satisfy the needs of the Russian forces which fulfill the tasks of the special military operation” in Ukraine, the press release specifies.

Sergei Shoigu also stressed the need to improve the security of armored vehicles and their crews, according to the same source.

This announcement comes in the midst of a Ukrainian counter-offensive aimed at retaking the territories under their control in Ukraine from Russian forces.

Moscow keeps hammering that this counter-offensive is a failure. kyiv, for its part, claims to have liberated a handful of localities and a hundred square kilometers, mainly on the southern front.
