It was decided to sanction the fee hike considering the financial situation of the emirate and the cost of running a private school. The fee increase rate for schools is linked to each school’s latest inspection rating from the Dubai School Inspection Bureau.

Officials pointed out that private schools maintaining the same inspection rating are entitled to increase their fees by 3 per cent under the school fee framework. Meanwhile, schools failing annual ratings are not eligible for fee hike. Schools that improve their rating in the latest tests can increase their fees as per the terms laid down in the fee framework.
