“In the province we have around 400 consultations per year that are carried out for fertility. Most of the consultations are couples, and a smaller percentage are single women. They generally come because they have been looking for a pregnancy for a long time and they are not achieving it, or they did some other type of treatment and they could not achieve pregnancy, ”she continued to explain.
In this sense, Ávalos stated that the costs of these types of treatments vary according to the stimulation, but they are estimated at around $500,000. “Today, thanks to the fertility law, social works are covering these treatments. Both are invasive; injections are generally used that the woman must place in the abdomen, which causes discomfort; In the case of insemination, the procedure is similar to that of the PAP and they usually last between 12 and 15 days”, he concluded.
