FIFA donates one million dollars to help earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey

FIFA has confirmed that it will provide $1 million in emergency humanitarian aid in the followingmath of the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria, killing more than 43,000 people and leaving many homeless, in extremely cold temperatures.
Yesterday, the Federation stated on its official website that, following consultation with the Turkish and Syrian Football Associations, as well as local and international non-governmental organizations, the financial support will be used to purchase and distribute basic humanitarian items, in addition to providing temporary and emergency shelter and protection.
FIFA will continue to cooperate with the Turkish and Syrian federations, monitor the situation and take any decisions regarding any additional action.
