He went blind because of a contact lens

An American man became blind following falling asleep while wearing a contact lens.

And the American citizen, Michael Kramholtz, announced that one of his eyes was blind following he slept for 40 minutes with contact lenses in his eyes.

LADBible points out that this citizen slept this short period to take a break from work, and when he woke up he noticed red eyes, but he did not care regarding it, because he always suffers from conjunctivitis. But when things got worse, he decided to see an ophthalmologist.

The doctor, following examining him, told him: You have Acanthamoeba keratitis, and the carnivorous parasites have begun to eat the eye.

Michael had to drop out of school and work in order to focus on treating his right eye, which became blind. He hopes doctors will agree to a corneal transplant, which might lead to an improvement in his condition. However, doctors are currently once morest performing this operation because his body may reject it.
