CSKA General Director Roman Babaev told SE that FIFA ordered West Ham to pay the Moscow club for the transfer of midfielder Nikola Vlašić.

— Having exhausted all the ways of amicably resolving this issue, we turned to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber. What options we just did not offer West Ham, but in vain. And just the day before, a decision was made in our favor: we should be paid the entire amount, as well as penalties – 5 percent per annum, – Babaev noted.

– West Ham owe CSKA another 22.5 million euros?

– About 18 million. But in this case, the decision concerns the payment of the second tranche – about 9 million euros.

“Now you can easily get this money?”

West Ham have 10 days to request a full decision. After receiving a full decision, which usually takes about a month, they will have another 21 days to apply to CAS. If this does not happen, then the decision will take effect, and West Ham will have 45 days to pay. If the payment is not received, then we can go to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee and request sanctions.

Vlašić moved from CSKA Moscow to West Ham in August 2021. Last summer, the Hammers loaned the Croatian midfielder to Torino until the end of the current season.
