Vaud puts an end to the particular situation and lifts the ORCA plan
Following the announcements of the Federal Council concerning the lifting of almost all the measures to fight against the pandemic, the canton of Vaud is also announcing relaxations.
The Canton of Vaud is lifting the special situation and the ORCA plan on Friday in the context of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, he announced on Thursday. The consequence of this is that the cantonal management staff (EMCC) will no longer be involved in this system from 1 April.
With the activation of the ORCA plan twice in March and October 2020, the EMCC managed for more than 20 months the planning of operations, the conduct and the coordination of the health crisis, in collaboration with the health services, the security services and municipalities, recalls the Council of State. He wishes to “welcome the important commitment of the EMCC during these long months of the pandemic”.
The validity of a measure is however extended until April 30, namely the possibility for public establishments to install electric heaters on their terraces, underlines the canton.
