Early last year, Biopore released a North American-type PRRS live vaccine for the first time as a domestic isolate.

Woojin B&G received product approval for PRRS live vaccine last month.
This vaccine uses the North American type of PRRS virus lineage1 outdoor strain as an antigen.
The release date has not been confirmed yet.
In addition, other companies, such as the Daesung Microbiology Research Institute, are also in the midst of developing a live vaccine for PRRS using a virus isolated in Korea. Some companies have already entered the domestic product approval process.
The Agriculture, Forestry and Livestock Quarantine Headquarters jointly developed a North American PRRS live poison vaccine using domestic isolates with a domestic company, and is also developing a European PRRS live poison vaccine.
It is also promoting the development of a PRRS dead poison vaccine applied with excellent immune enhancing substances.
Domestic companies said, “PRRS virus is highly mutable. Domestic vaccines using domestic isolates can control the domestic PRRS virus more efficiently. We look forward to the performance of domestic vaccines. In addition, we ask for affection and interest in domestic vaccines.”
