Khartoum – Fighting continues in Sudan despite an extension of the fragile ceasefire. Residents on Tuesday reported fighting in the south of the capital Khartoum and in Nyala, the state capital of South Darfur. “The army is ready to fight to victory,” said military ruler Abdel Fattah al-Burhan during a visit to troops in Khartoum. “There is no ceasefire in Sudan,” said Rift Valley Institute expert Rashid Abdi.
