Barcelona defeated New York Red Bulls 2-0 at the Red Bull Arena, in its last friendly match in the preparation period in the United States of America.
Barcelona’s two goals were scored: Ousmane Dembele in the first half, and substitute Memphis Depay in the second half.
The match was known as a case of expulsion for New York Red Bulls player Daniel Edelman due to a strong interference against Pablo Toure of Barcelona.
Barcelona had started the preparation period with a 1-1 draw with the Catalan club Olot, then beat Inter Miami 6-0, then beat rivals Real Madrid with a goal without, then drew against Juventus 2-2, and finally beat New York Red Bulls.
There is one last match for Barcelona in the preparation period, which will be in the Joan Gamper Cup competitions at Spotify Camp Nou on August 7 against Mexican Pumas.
Barcelona opens the Spanish League against Rayo Vallecano on August 13 in an effort to regain the title absent in the past two seasons.

Distinguished guest of honor
The match against New York Red Bulls witnessed the presence of the French gazelle Thierry Henry, who entered the field before the match, wearing a special shirt that is a mixture of the two teams’ colors.
Henry represented the two teams during his career, Barcelona first between 2007 and 2010, scoring 49 goals and winning 7 championships, including the historic 2009 hexagon under the leadership of Pep Guardiola.
Then Henry turned to represent the New York Red Bulls between 2010 and 2014 – the year he retired – and scored 52 goals in his shirt.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Hollywood star appeared in the middle of the meeting.
In pursuit of the first goal
The match was known to postpone Robert Lewandowski’s first Barcelona shirt until the moment.
The best player in the world tried to open the scoring after 16 hits from Jordi Alba’s cross, but his header crossed over the goal.
Leva returned again in the 20th minute with a single effort, but his shot went over the crossbar again.
The most dangerous opportunity came in the 24th minute when the goalkeeper was completely alone, but he missed the opportunity nonetheless.
Wasting was continued by Lewandowski in the 30th minute when he received a wonderful pass from Rafinha that made him face the goal, but the goalkeeper saved again.
With the 40th minute, Rafinha made another similar pass, but to Dembele this time, and the Frenchman managed to exploit it, opening the scoring for Barcelona with a right shot.
In the second half, Lewandowski continued his efforts to score, penetrating from the left in the 53rd minute, and fired a shot that hit the defense, then the goalkeeper narrowly pushed it into a corner.
In the 58th minute, Lewandowski got a new dangerous opportunity to score, but his shot found goalkeeper Carlos on the lookout.
And in the 87th minute, Dutchman Depay took advantage of a fatal defensive error to evade the goalkeeper and score the second goal for Barcelona.
