Inter coach Simone Inzaghi praised his team’s performance after qualifying for the Champions League quarter-finals.
Bayern Munich and Inter Milan secured their place in the Champions League final, while Barcelona headed to the European League, before the last round of the group stage.
Inter beat Viktoria Plzen 4-0, while Bayern Munich defeated Barcelona by three in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.
“Of course, to go through a group like this means that the team is going through an excellent period,” Inzaghi said on beIN Sports. “We performed well and achieved our goal of qualifying.”
“We knew that there was no choice but to win, we achieved an achievement by qualifying in a group that includes Barcelona and Bayern,” he stressed.
And about the best player in the match, he stressed, “I am not talking about a specific player, but I am talking about all the players, and the group that participated was good.”
“We have qualified for the next round, but we will play a strong match against Bayern,” he concluded.
Inter will be a guest of Bayern Munich during the last round of the group stage, after the duo guaranteed their presence in the final price.
