  • At the final of the 20th season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, all eyes of the Swiss audience were on Lorent Berisha.

  • The Lucerne native competed against his comrades-in-arms Kiyan Yousefbeik and Sem Eisinger as well as fellow competitor Monika Gajek.

  • The 19-year-old from Lucerne was considered a top favorite by the jury early on.

  • It was enough for the podium, but not for first place.

It wasn’t enough for the top, but Lorent Berisha from Lucerne sang his way to a solid 3rd place in the final of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” with his song “Complicated”, which he composed especially for him. Sem Eisinger won.

Berisha was already as a top favorite early in the season traded – and seen as a winner by his fans. Bohlen first commented that his voice sounded “quite strange”, but then immediately added: “But I think it’s kind of good. I like it.” Week after week, the Swiss singer sang his way into the hearts of the audience and regularly wowed the jury with his singing.

Berisha: “If you really want something, it’s possible”

The 19-year-old spoke about his dream of making a career as a singer with 20 minutes before the final show: “If you really want to achieve something in life, it’s possible. I am firmly convinced of that. Luca Hänni and Beatrice Egli proved that it works, especially for us Swiss. But I am aware that it is a hard and exhausting path, but I am ready to fight for it – no matter how DSDS turns out for me. »

Luca Hänni (28) took first place on DSDS with his performance in 2012, Schlager princess Beatrice Egli (34) won in the tenth season in 2013. There is still a chance that other Swiss talents will make it onto the stage of Germany’s largest talent show. Actually, the 20th season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” should have been the last. But then chief judge Dieter Bohlen dropped the bomb at the beginning of April: DSDS will take place again in 2024as interest in the show has exceeded RTL’s expectations.
