The evacuation of two towers and considerable damage to an apartment left a fire in the blocks of the Villa Don Max of Valdivia.
The emergency originated in the apartment on the third floor of the block located on Calle Santa Teresa at number 909, corner Charles Hilker, yesterday Saturday.
A loud noise and smoke alerted the neighbors, who evacuated the premises and an adjoining block, according to some of its inhabitants.
The captain of the Fifth Fire Company of Valdivia, George Pine, confirmed that the radiation of heat from an electric heater towards a bed would have caused the first flames, being evacuated 28 people in total.

“We had an evacuation work coordination in two towers. They all returned to their homes and we had technical support from different units, ”she indicated.
The damaged apartment was 90% damaged. One of its inhabitants who identified himself as Jonathan, valued the support received at that moment.
“At the moment we had material losses but no injuries, so the situation would already be controlled,” said the young man who lived in the place with his sister.
Also as a result of the smoke, the fourth floor of that block was affected to a degree. No damage reported on floors 1 and 2. Five fire companies attended the scene, without registering injured people.
What’s more, Three pets were rescued alive.
On the other hand, in the Isla Teja sector yesterday afternoon, a house on Los Álamos street had damage to a kitchen, hallway and attic, after the flames caused by the damage in a boiler, as reported by Carabineros, affecting a family made up of two people, without being injured.
