Eventful Ascension Thursday in the village of Villars-sur-Fontenais. A fire broke out shortly following 2 p.m. “at Poiye”, the building of the former shooting range, uninhabited but now frequently used by the Customs group. The fire spread to the roof, which the firefighters had to partially destroy to circumscribe a disaster which only caused material damage and whose origin remains to be determined. SIS Calabri and the Fire and Rescue Reinforcement Center (CRIS) in Porrentruy brought the fire under control quickly. The intervention also required the presence of the cantonal and municipal police as well as the ambulance service, as a preventive measure. Development follows. /clo
